Yvonne Yockel began her career with the City of Scottsboro Parks and Recreation Department in 1989 working as the special programs director. She served in that capacity until 1997 at which time she was promoted to assistant director.

City Park
      
The City Park is located in the southern portion of Scottsboro. The facilities include two boat ramps, picnic tables with barbeque grills, two fishing piers and a pavilion. The park is located on Lake Guntersville in the Roseberry Creek area. It is available for use daily from 4:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
