Yvonne Yockel began her career with the City of Scottsboro Parks and Recreation Department in 1989 working as the special programs director. She served in that capacity until 1997 at which time she was promoted to assistant director.

Indoor Pool

With a 25-yard competition pool consisting of 8 lanes with depths of four to eight feet, this facility is equipped with ultra modern equipment for swim team competition. There is also adequate surrounding deck space for seating and relaxation. The pool may be rented for $50.00 per hour for 50 people and below. $60.00 per hour for 51-75 people and $75.00 per hour for up to 100 people. Regular Admission is $2 for adults, youth and seniors. Swimming lessons are given during the summer months for $35 per week.
