Carol McCrary was elected to Place #3 of the Scottsboro City Council on August 24, 2010.
Carol, a lifelong resident of Scottsboro is the daughter of Jeanine McCrary and the late Otis �Bones� McCrary.
Carol is a member of Scottsboro High School Class of 1967 and a graduate of Alabama Banking School.
Carol is a member of the Scottsboro Kiwanis Club, past Distinguished Lt. Governor of Kiwanis International-Division 1, past board member of the Jackson County United Givers Fund, past board member and Vice Chairman of the Board of Zoning Adjustments. She is a graduate of the Jackson County Leadership class and in 2001 was selected Outstanding Professional Woman by the North Alabama Women of Distinction. She is the first woman to be appointed to serve on the board of the Scottsboro Electric Power Board. She also serves on the Scottsboro High School CIT council (Commerce and Information Technology).
Carol has been employed in banking and finance for 37 years, the last fourteen of those with First Southern State Bank. |
