Debra Borders has been employed with the City of Scottsboro since 2002. She was hired as the Human resource clerk. After filling in as a temporary director for six months, she was appointed as the director of human resources in 2006.

Debra holds a bachelors degree in Human Resource Management. Debra is a member of the SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management.)

She says she enjoys working with her HR clerk, Connie Sharp, as well as all employees of the City of Scottsboro.
