The Scottsboro Goose Pond Civic Center is ready for your next off-site seminar, convention, banquet or party. Located in the heart of Jackson County, at the city owned lake resort, the 17,000 square-foot building can accomodate 600 people for formal dining or a capacity of 825.

Senior Center

Located at the Jackson County Park, the Scottsboro-Jackson County Senior Center Council on Aging facility alone offers its seniors and others who visit the center a breathtaking view of the Roseberry Creek area of Lake Guntersville. Intertwined with the abundance of activities throughout the week, the center has become a home away from home for our area’s most revered residents.

Dog and cat owners are required to purchase an annual license each year.  They must acquire it when one of the following three things occurs: (1) Within 15 days of when the current rabies vaccine expires (2) Upon the purchase or ownership of a new pet or (3) Upon becoming a new resident of the City of Scottsboro.

From bass fishing on the great Tennessee River's Lake Guntersville Reservoir, to golfing on two of the most beautiful courses in the south, adventure awaits. Take a journey on any or all of our numerous walking trails and enjoy what nature has to offer.

Scottsboro is the home of the oldest trade day in the country. Located around the Jackson County Square in Scottsboro, First Monday began at the turn of the 20th century and survives even today. You never know what you might find there.
